1988 Civic Wagon weight?
I'm looking for the weight of the 88 Wagon...preferrably no 4wd but I'll take anything at this point.
I've been looking and all I can find is (a) 1990-92 specs or (b)every single non wagon civic model.

heres an old (very enourmous) spec sheet with the 1990 wagon weights I scanned and added to my old site http://www.hondacivicwagon.com Of all the wagon curb weights I've observed in the junkyard the difference between 1988/89 & 90/91 is about 80-100 lbs due to the decapitator belts added & dash kneepad reconfiguration after the 1990 model year. 2575lbs is what my wagon weighs (rt4wd auto). To end all doubt check @ your local dragstrip or highway truck scale, see if they'll let ya weigh it & get a definite answer. Hope this helps

My buddies and I are looking for a Civic to run in the prepared class in the local autox. We've got a fully rebuilt performance D16a6 drivetrain plus boxes of D-series parts. We could be running:
12:1 compression ratio(D16a1 pistons)
y8 intake manifold
Crower cam/adj STR camgear
chipped Turboedit ecu
ZC 1-4/Si 5th, final drive
Kaaz LSD
Lightened flywheel
etc etc
So we're looking around at alternatives to an 88Hf, which we would run if we could find one in decent shape w/a decent price tag. I found an 88 Wagon locally for a $1100. I was trying to determine if it was light enough to be competitive.
We are shooting for the lightest possible chassis. Target weight is 1600 lbs before fuel/driver. The lighter we start off, the better...so while it would have been cool to campaign a wagon, had to pass on weight concerns.

hmm maybe kinda tight, gut & cut- add 1 kevlar/carbon fiber seat & lexan windows & bumper substitutes. Id be willing to say maybe 1700, the stock wagovan from that year is like 2100 w/o mods. Some one here had a rally wagon gutted with a BIG time built type r motor & a roll cage. Supposed to be mad quick. I wish I could remember who that was? Ask a guy named Yoshi ???
good luck
