Default b16 s1 tranny grind

I installed a b16 in my crx a few weeks ago. I picked the s1 tranny. I went to the track last night and noticed from 2nd to 3rd there was a grind, it only does it in high rpms, anyone know what to do? I used Mobil 1 75w 90 and it drove perfect before.

get some synchro mesh from your local GM Dealer... works really well on small grinds and brings trannies back to life... but if its really bad your prolly gonna have to start replacing crap.

First off take that heavy *** gear oil out and put in some 10w 30. I never use anything heavier than 10w 30 and syncromesh when I feel it is needed. If that doesn't help LMK and I'll buy your tranny

Yep, sycromesh is fine for our trannies. It actually does eliminate slight grinds. Start your car and before you put it in reverse, put it in 1st or 2nd gear (obviously not disengaging the clutch) then put it in reverse. I got in this habbit when I bought my first car and have never had reverse grind since.
