Ight it just rained hard but i dont know if it had anything to do with it. today the car was driving perfectly fine. but now when I go start the car up, it puts real hard like its going to conk out. when i start driving, when i accelerate it hesitates to accel and keeps putting with a loud sound. I cant figure out whats wrong but it doesnt let me accel fast enough and just hesitates alot. could it be because my intake got wet or something?? someone help me out, much appreciated. thanks in advance

 

i think that was the cause, unless u got a bypass with your intake. what intake do you have? CAI or short ram?

 

CAI, i dont have a bypass with the intake either. but thing is my mud guard which covers the cold air intake is out a lil bit so im guess rain splashed onto it. hopefully that is the problem and nothing serious. but what do i do, just let it dry out??? and thanks

 

Rain splashing onto a filter is not going to hydrolock your engine...when is the import community going to let that myth die...you'd have to completely submerge the filter in order to hydrlock...and even then it is extremely rare...

 

well if it aint that im going that its the spark plugs thats a problem. im gonna go buy some spark plugs tomorrow and see if that fixes it. i cant go outside right now to mess with it cause i literally have a psycho stalker bitch sittin outside of my house waitin for me to come out
