I would stay away. They burn up quite frequently.

Use an MSD instead.
Or go with the R500. That's the best cdi i've ever used.

I'm using the AEM C2DI(4 channel). I love it. I also converted to a direct fire system. Before I got the AEM ignition amp, I used the MSD digital SCI and it sucked. I kept burning up coils(MSD blaster SS coils). I sent the box back to msd along with the burned up coils. They said the box was fine and replaced all the coils I burned up. I reinstalled if it came back from MSD and within two weeks I fried another coil. I got the aem box and I've been happy ever since.

Ive heard bad stories about MSD boxes and now i'm starting to hear bad things about the AEM box's. Just wanted to hear others encounters with the Aem box.
That r500 is a good CDI but damn that price.

i personally havent seen any doa cdi's, just heard about them from a few others, i have sold at least 50 of those things recently and none have come back. aem is good with their warrenty stuff... if its doa they are good about replacing them. despite the few DOA cdi's i have heard about.. i have still had more msd's fail on my car and customers cars than that.
