Default 00 ITR cluster install in 88 crx.

I plan to install a 00 ITR cluster into my 88 crx.

I know i will need a 90-91 Crx cluster cover to make it fit, and i will need to trim and shape it a bit so it looks clean.

I need a VSS and have to wire it into the ecu and cluster.. correct?

As far as wiring. I dont need any special low fuel indicators or any of that to work on the cluster. Just everything that is on my stock 88 cluster now.

Since its obd2... Does that make it more difficult?

I searched, found plenty on GSR clusters. Nothing on a ITR cluster into a crx though. Any help?

If i trace the wires back on each cluster and just match them up, will it work? And are these wired the same as the GSR clusters? (could i use a wiring writeup for a 98 GSR cluster to install this one)

Thanks!

I would not use any particular wire write up.

I've searched every one of those and for my GSR cluster (which I do not know the year), NONE of them work right with my cluster.

You're better off tracing all the wires yourself manually and then wiring it up.

It seems that Honda used a few different, maybe even more than a few, wiring setups for the DC Integra clusters. It could be different for the ITR, though. Those may be a bit more uniform.

Do you know the excat year of your cluster?

I acutally just picked up a 99 Gsr cluster. Very good shape.

Did you get everything working on yours?

I haven't finished the wiring yet. All i've done is trace some of the wiring on the GSR cluster.

There's a few things on the cluster that I can't seem to get to work, even though I've manually gone through every wire.

I believe my wiring harness *may* not be correct for my cluster =/

Will the car drive and operate normally if i disconnect all 3 plugs on the back of the cluster. Because i will be doing a little there a little here while im still driving the car.

i think there are 2 different wiring types, 94-99 and 2000 -2001 so if u find a wire up and a cluster from the same years u should be ok, i have a 2001 Gsr cluster in my 1990 crx si , Everything works perfect, not 1 complaint.

i used a 95 gsr cluster in my rex. i searched and found a few write ups for the cluster swap but i was still having problems with the wiring. so i basically sat in my driveway for hours wiring that biatch up. i had everything done but couldnt get the coolant temp or fuel gauge to work. so at that point i jsut started guessing and i got it all to work. the only thing i didnt do was the vss cause i didnt haev one at that point. i recently picked one up and i have to install but i cant get the stock one out. if tried everything and i think its seized. ive been drinving with no speedo for about 6 monthes now and it sucks
