H23 VTEC: Increased Crankcase Pressure/Oil Out of Valve Cover?
I have heard of this problem before w/ the LS/VTEC and B20/VTEC guys, but I'm curious as if it would affect an H23 VTEC. Apparently if you rev the bigger bottom end up really high, then it starts to blow a lot of oil out of the PCV valve due to the increased crankcase pressure.
I do not have the hose from the intake to the crankcase hooked up, but the PCV valve is still hooked up to the intake manifold. Previously, I never had a problem w/ oil coming out of the line coming from the valve cover to the intake, even though I left it open. Now, w/ my frankenstein motor, it seems like everytime I give it hell and then park it, it smells like burning oil, and it seems like the oil may be coming from the valve cover-to-intake line.
Does this sound normal? Should I hook up the hose again, or get a catchcan if so?

So I made a catchcan out of a Sobe bottle and some clear water hose.............and there's this milky yellow/black stuff forming in the bottle.
I think I used the wrong type of hose
