Default first time at the track. howd I do?

Well I went to the track last night and it was like 55 degrees out there so I was super cold Anyway It was my first time and I was just wondering what you all thought, oh and by the way my car is no hotrod.
Anyway I can't post up my actuall slip but here is what it says. without all the details
R/T .118
60ft 2.4
E/T 16.6 oh well like I said no hotrod
trap 82.xxx
heres my setup

mildly striped 89 crx si(no seat, no spare, no rear interior.)
d15b vtec (bone stock) converted to obd1
catback custom 2 1/4 with magnaflow fart can
stock si rims on khumo ecsta kp4 185/60/rh14 tires
I think thats about it. so Howd I do? remember this was my first time at the track and the track has major traction problems. I was launching inbetween 2700-3000 and not spinning to bad. give me some feedback

one things for sure... I'm addicted to it. just need to wait till I get my other motor in another body. with some tuning and modifing

yeah I'll definetly work on it but it being my first time on a track period I'm not to upset. just for an example of the traction problems on our track there is a local import shop that had a fully built drag 94 civic hatch with a fully built GSR pushin 25lbs that on a good track is very capable of 9's that can only hit 10.18 because he's spinning the entire way down the track on HUGE slicks. it was fun to watch him though. hear that turbo and crap poppin.

Dont feel bad my first run with my DOHC ZC got me like a 16.8. By the end of the day I had that down to a 15.4 but still with a shitty 2.5?? 60' time. You'll get better with practice.

Dont get discouraged by the homos that will eventually end up in this thread saying their car with the same setup will run 9s.

Should be faster with that setup but everyone has to learn sometime. I ran a 15.7 In my beat up CX with a A6

i dont know thats really crappy time, you should learn how to drive. I have the same set-up in my car and i prob woulda ran 9's if my clutch didnt slip, and my seat moved back.

eh...its an ok time, i went to the track with my 88 HF crx, with FULL Si interior, spare tire, all that good stuff, and i ran 15.83 on my d16y7, with delsol intake mani, intake, DC header, and open muffler(it fell off about a week before, i think it was the original stock muffler and it had a huge friggin hole that burned to the hanger and fell off )...and i was launching at about 2500-3K rpm...you should be running a litttle bit faster in my opinion.....but at the same time my friend had his LS-vtec hatch and they couldnt catch traction with slicks and were only running 15.2. so go back to the track and practice launching and driving and see what happens put in a few more runs and get those times down buddy

*edit* also what rpm are u shifting at?

shifting at 7000 redline for the motor. I have the Ecu chipped to run 8 but thats just because I got a b16 I'm workin on getting in there and I definetly will work on the times for sure. just I gotta find out what goes on down in pheonix first.

Of how about those folks that say they ran a better time with a stock HF.

By the way, if you REALLY want to know how good your time was, take a look at what other people run with comparable setups. Also, take a look at trap speeds. Since your launch has MUCH less of an effect on your trap speed than your ET, this is a MUCH better indicator as to whether your motor is performing up to par.

i hope ur not talking about me, if not then disregard this...but if u were i did clearly state that the motor was a d16y7, and that i just stated the model was an HF... i wasnt BS'ing...but yea...i just dont people to think that i said i ran 15.83 with a Stock HF

thats not a bad first time mine was a 16.1 the first time i ran mine but since i learned how to launch and get the 60's down i land 14.8's constantly best is a 14.6
i have the same swap as you but i have

jdm d15b sohc vtec w/p28 ecu w/skunk2 chip
competech header
fake jays cai
act stage 2 clutch
obx fuel rail
tanabe rsm cat back
stock converter(need a test pipe)
tokico struts w/ground control coilovers
cusco sway bars
16 inch adr sokudo's w/parada2 tires

not bad for a sohc vtec to run a best so far a 14.6 cant wait for boost
keep practicing!!
