F20B swap
I drive a 1997 Accord V6, and I wanna do a engine swap. Does anyone know if an F series engine would be able to mount in the 97 accord V6's with it's original mounts? I believe my accord has a C series engine (C27). Also how much work is it to turn an auto car to a manual car?
just the motor swap would require new engine mounts but your v6 engine bay would be more than adequate size to get the f20b in. There might also be a problem witht he wheel hubs accepting I4 axles as opposed to the v6 axles. A new engine harness may be need but i doubt it i'm sure both engines have the same sensors. As for the 5spd swap your probably **** out of luck because they used a different chassis for v6 accords in 96-97 and only the 4cylinder version came as a 5spd. You can check under your dash on the driver's side if there are holes to mount a clutch pedal and master cylinder if there is it can be done but that would require more research maybe even some trial and error.
What stock mount won't work? The stock F20B T2T4 trans mount or your F22B1 mount?? It has to be a F22Bx 5spd mount to work. I re-used my F22Bx 5spd mount on my JDM F20B LSD trans with no problem.
