Need more info. Is that while straight line braking, or trail braking? When is the lock up occuring? Which track and what turn?

What sort of front brakes are you running? Pad compound front vs. rear? Any front tire size or compound bias?

Under braking in a straight line or trailbraking, the rears get much lighter than the fronts and will tend to lock up first if you don't have a good compound balance.
Your rear shoes are either too good or your front pads are too crappy.
Or maybe your rears are out of adjustment.
Or maybe you had better tires on the front than you did on the rear.

this is my guess.. poorly adjusted rear drums.

ok this is at button willow track
94 cx stock rear drums. and hp+ in front on stock rotors during straight line breakiing. the rear driver said it was locking up on the long straing 100 to 60
if it is out of adjustment how do i fix that? i ve done disc brakes but i assume drums are easier. thanks
also
i have ground control/koni setup, i dont know if it matters but 550 front, 750 rear spring rate
with toyo ra-1 tires
thanks
im pretty sure its straight line with a little trailbreaking

So the driver behind you noticed the brake lockup but you (the driver) didn't? Is it possible that as you enter the corner and unload the inside tire, that you're getting a little rear tire smoke? Just seems kinda odd that you'd be locking the rears and not notice it from the driver seat...
Per someone else's advice, I'd also look into getting some more aggressive front pads.

I noticed this on my si hatch with 4 wheel disk brakes. I has some cheap AutoZone pads on the rear and Ultimates on the front. Hard stops (slam on brakes) in a straight line would always result in rear lockup. I think it's a combination of lack of weight in the rear of these cars exaggerated by the sudden weight transfer of quick and hard brakeing.
it didnt feel like it locked up.. and he said it did it real quick.. but i think thats prob it all the weight trasnferred to front no weight in back the rear breaks just lock up.
just wondering what others are doing to resolve this issue. ive seen this on others hondas. when my hp+ run out ill go with hp blue pads.
