Default Buying a used cat... yes or no?

Used cats seem pretty appealing price wise. Is there a reason to not buy it?

yeah i was thinking about that.

will it limit the flow of the cat or will the pollution reducing agents not work as well?

I dont even need a cat. I just love the environment soooo much.

If it was newer and had lower miles the yes, or you could get an Ebay cat for cheap too

honestly the amount of harmful gases released into the atmosphere from your car by not having a cat is negligible. cats themselves are not that expensive, especially carsound cats, which have considerably higher flow than stock. you can get a new one with the flanges welded on for a little more than the price of a used oem one (that who knows what shape is in)
EDIT: btw, ebay "cats" are nothing more than resonated test pipes. they will increase the raspiness sound of your exhaust
