They're big grip for no reason...JDM novelty isn't worth it for Audio. IMO, It's just an Alpine. Get something good

I doubt it will even pick up US radio stations as the frequencies they use in Japan are considerably different.

Radio will not work, plus if you really want a JDM head unit, take a look at the ones from Addzest (Clarion) and Eclipse.

http://www.addzest.co.jp

The 505 model with the rear video camera option (like the Infiniti Q45) is pretty cool.

BLOCK OFF PLATE WOULD SOUND BETTER. (Cheaper too.)

Relocate your other head unit to the glovebox if you're that into the JDM ITR look...

pointless JDM mods:

radio ($200?)
clock-block ($15)
LSD stickers ($25?)
front end w/HID ($3K + installation)
shift boot ($25?)

That's almost 5000 bucks and your car wouldn't be any faster. JDM fever is stupid.

they might be pointless but those things are all kind of a taste matter...and for $20 i dont think you should rag on someone...if they bought a clock block or a shift boot.....

Waste your money if you want I guess. If you think it's such a rare find, mount it on your mantle at home. Actually, you know what, you're right. So many times I have found myself listening to my pitiful non-JDM Alpine unit and said "You know, listening to music while driving sucks. I wish I had one of those non-functional JDM head units."

non functional? you really need to read up on your stuff. the cd player/cassette functions..the only thing that doesnt is the radio, (which i never listen to anyways).

Post some pics of this rare cd player. I have yet to see a carbon fiber trimed cd player. The silver one I know is made by pioneer.

They are a taste matter for sure...but you just have to question why people bought them. Somewhere along the line, this silly notion came along that everything JDM is somehow superior. SO people spend their money on mods just because they are JDM and that is somehow better.

A JDM header, or JDM Recaros, I can understand. They serve a functional purpose. But the cosmetic JDM thing, to me, is just a high-class way to be a riceboy. Fashion over function, except you're not getting your **** from Pep Boys, you're getting it from some importer. We really have to examine this notion of "they do it in Japan so it must be better". The same people that point out ricey stickers on other cars are sometimes the same people that buy a big JDM window sticker that says "DOHC VTEC/LSD" on it. How is that any different than a big white "H" in your rear windshield? Answer: only cause it's JDM...

Because it is a HONDA PART!

If I want to put it on my car... I will.

Don't like? Don't look!

Your opinions are fine... everybody has one. But bashing something that someone has or wants is not cool at all.

Doubt it they had our front ends for two years and didn't like them so they ditched it. for them. But I'm sure some do.
