Oil pump question.

Default Oil pump question.

Is the oil pump on a sohc non vtec and a sohc vtec the same. I have a 96 accord EX and i need to get an oil pump but i wanted to know if they are swapable. also what about the h motor oil pump. thanks in advance

someone correct me if im wrong, but i do believe that the F22's VTEC and NON-VTEC blocks are identical...again im trying to pull this from memory, but im almost positive that the only difference is the head

dont know for sure about the H's oil pump though seeing as its a DOHC and has oil squirters for the pistons...so i dunno...guessing it could possibly fit...would just be a higher flow rate (?)

Im not sure either, i was just reading the H22a head to F22b2 block, and i think it said that vtec (f22b1) and the non-vtec (f22b2) are different. i know that doesnt help a lot, but i'll try to find the time to look over that.

well another twist to this question. are the motors on pre 94 accords the same as post non vtec? im a integra guy so bare my newbie'ish questions
