well i had this jdm d15b in my first car a 93 ex....i wrecked it on the passanger side front and messed it up i totaled the car but i took the motor out and put it in my 96 ex and i know the wreck messed the tranny gasket and oil pan gasket up...but for some reason vtec dont worka nd the motor is real sluggish and just isnt the same anymore can anyone tell me if the wreck might of messed something up on the inside

well, if the oil pan gasket got messed up, wouldnt the oil pressure mess up? causing vtec not to kick in? I might be wrong.. I dont know very much about vtec and the oil and all that...

 

nope oil pan gasket and tranny gasket was replaced....when i first got the car back the plug for the bottum half of the vtec syleniod plug wasnt there and i mentioed it and they put it on and it still dont work instead of smoothly goin thro the rpms without vtec and now with the wire and all it just bogs...vtec kinda puts you back just a lil bit and you can hear it well you can hear it but its not the beautiful sound of vtec roar it sounds like **** and instead of put back in the seat a lil you acually move forward it slows the car down that much

 

Solenoid might be fubared.
