I rebuilt my motor from ground up. I have done everything but upgraded my ecu, and this is where my problem comes in. I've looked into hondata, and the aem stand alone eng. management system. Everything I am finding is for a manual tranny, but I have an automatic. Is there any thing out there that will allow me to tune my ecu without changing the trans. I dont undersstand why the ecu for the 5 speed can be tuned but the auto ecu cant, this just dont make sense, it still has the same fuel curves ect. that mine has but you cant find anything for a auto tranny. If there is somthing please tell me who, if I have to I will do a trans. swap but I do like my auto trans.

I guess my only suggestion is instead of buying a h22, why not just do a auto-manual swap on your existing h23? That way you can get the fun of a manual, and you can tune the ECU at the same time.

 

grow some ***** and get a 5spd

 

ex auto h23 owner here. trust me you won't miss the auto.

maybe you should think how long you are actually gonna keep your car, and what the REALISTIC goals for your car are.

my h23 was around 140k and had some bad ticking, but i still love my car so i shopped around for an engine. one week and $4k(engine, labor, misc parts) later i had my 5spd h22 installed
