destroy a b-20 (part 2)
yesterday i posted a question asking if you can use a stock b-16 head with stock b-16 cams on a jdm b-20( the 9.6 comp ratio block)
some say yes, some say no.
let me clarify...
i want to do this without risking the pistons and valves colliding.
Endyn says that the valve reliefs on these pistons are not wide enough to accept b-16 valves and they werent sure about how deep they were.
some one else said that hondatuning did a b-20 set up like this, and that they used stock pistons, and had them modified to accept the b-16 valves. i cant find any info about this.
i am getting a lot of different answers and i am not sure what the right answer is.
i am not lazy i will do the math my self if i could find the pertinant info to determine this, but i cant find specific enough specs.
what do you guys think

They are a different size, however if you don't play with your cam timing and you don't mill your head, you will be ok.
I know several people who run this setup. I've even seen the head pulled off after a while and not one mark was made in the reliefs.

i am running a bone stock b20b with a gsr head and cams. no the valves have not hit the pistons. i have also had 2 other friends run the same set-up and none of us have bent valves yet.
i'm sure if you raise the comp. to insane levels it could happen or if you change the cam timing. u b o k .
