EXPERT ADVICE NEEDED Brake Calipers and Rotors
I NEED HELP!!!
I have never done a caliper replacement, but I have the Honda Service Manual. It does not give me all the details that I need because this is a basic procedure all mechanics should know how to do.
I need to replace the left rear caliper. Should I drain the brake system first? How should I do that?
I also need to replace my rear rotors. Any tips?
If anyone has a scan of the haynes manual PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I own it, but it is far far away and I don't have access to it.
Also I know they are a lot of HOW TO's and DIY's online, but I couldn't find any giving the caliper procdure, anyone know of any?
THANKS SO MUCH

You don't need to drain the brake system to replace the caliper. Just remove the ebrake shield (2 10mm bolts IIRC), the ebrake cable (cotter pin and clip), then take the two mounting bolts for the caliper off and it should come off, then take off the brake line, which will drip fluid. After the caliper is off rotor removal comes down to just taking out the 2 phillips head screws in the rotor (usually very tight, need to like WD-40 them or something or you'll strip em). When you get it all put back together bleed your brakes starting with the brake furthest from the master cylinder and work toward it.
