Default Brake Pad Install Q **installing now, need answer**

We've replaced the pads on my 94 GSR in the front, and moved to the back. We're having problems getting the caliper to push back into the brake. Our C-clamp method from the front brakes isn't working. The whole unit has been removed except the brake line. Bleeding the brake slightly has yielded no results either. Any suggestions?

Are you leaving the bleeder open when you use the clamp to push back the piston into the caliper? If you tried that I would say your piston has pushed out too far and has probably seized. If that's the case you should get a rebuild kit or just buy a rebuilt caliper. Hope this helps.

We figured it out. Rear GSR pistons actually screw in. Front piston
s push in. Thanks though

Next time buy a manual before you do any work to your car that you're unfamiliar with. It's better than messing something up. Just my .02

Manuals are ok 90% of the time. BUT, if you read the Hayes on 4th gen accords and replacing front rotors, they are FULL OF ****. They make it seem so easy, and in fact, its one of the hardest 'no-engine' things that you can do to the car. I tried to follow the manual and wound up going to a mechanic they spent 4 hours on it.
