new GSR build let me kno what you think
I building on the side a gsr block with an 84mm bore and 96mm crank eagle rodes costom JE pistons with 16:1 compression. Im planning on using a gsr head that ihave at the machine shop that is ported and polished with skunk 2 internals and skunk2 stage 3 cames. A custom made race header no exhaust a 68mm throttle body and im still up in the air on the intake mani suggestions welcome
I also wanted to kno if people saw a consideral difference with lightened pulleys or not im lookin for any kind of extra power i can get outa this thing. by the way this is going in a 94 eg that is down to about 1900lbs with a locked out b16 tranny.
The compression of the motor is not a problem the car is more of a track car but is going to go out and hit the streets on certain nights. The motor should run 10's we had one before that did so but the compressioin is not a question right now 16:1 with the stuff we have will work great but thanks for the comment
That's a lot of compression for skunk2 stage 3 cams. As for the intake manifold, try the AIR intake manifold. http://www.theoldone.com/compo...ifold/

Dotter i already told you what to do on the cold side.. AIR mani or you could always be real gansta and keep the GSR D-S mani and custom port it.. there is a guy on here that has a sick *** GSR manifold and makes nice power (i foget the name).. Skunk 2 mani is a waste and JG is laggy for all motor.. but i think if your trying to save money they JG would be good because of your Compression.. Also Joses may be able to hook you up with the custom GSR mani.. if not talk to SFP, b/c that dude i sick and i know he knows what im talking about.. Boosted.Hybrid's manifols isnt done being developed yet by Full-Race, but i know it puts down like 45% more efficentcy ove rthe JG.. AIR makes the most power out of all 3, but is liek $1,500.. i dunno how much Jeff's mani is gonna cost but it will be mor ethen the JG..
You could Also throw some ITB action up in there.. but we already talked about that!! You set-up is gonna be sick.. and its nice to see an NA bandit once in a while..
Hit me up later tonite when you get back from the Track!!

your gonna need a manifold with long runners if you plan on making good VE% with that 96mm crank. your piston speed is going to be insane and your rod ratio is gonna be fucked. 16.1 is over compressed. dont plan on making good power past 8,000 rpm. your setup will work and make torque but your hp is going to suffer.
If your trying to hit 10's you should stop shelf shopping and take your engine to a real builder who knows what they are doing.

he knows what he is doing, many of there cars hit 10's. I'm not worried and either should you.
