Default Bronze Heliums + Yellow CRX = not TOO shabby.

Out heat-cycled the new victoracers and decided to snap some pics. Also, removed the mudflaps as the scrape when the 13x9s are on the car. Since the car was painted with the flaps on, i had to paint the now exposed area... painted it black, since it didn't stand out too much.

Then, i bolted on the 13x9s for preparation for a drag race tomorrow:

Maxine in the background... she gets special treatment, aka, the garage.

Almost looks mean. ha!

Diamond Racing?

I'm running their 13x9 for autox.
With the 235-45-13 Kumho v700, they stick out from the fender a good 2 inches...on all four corners. Looks like a go-kart

exact same setup. I'm running 5.5" back spacing...

and sorry, the FRONT wheels on the "drag" setup, look exactly like steelies.
the rest... well, didn't think they were THAT dark. On the laptop, they looked bright, PC... boo hickey.

I'm not sure if it's the color or something but whatever it is makes that car look like it's fun to drive..

Looks nice. Will you be running those Oct12 at the auto-x? I saw your car last time I went in Sept. That thing flys, looks like it was on rails.

btw, noob question. are the scca events auto-x or called something else.

I love my Heliums! But my setup weighs 37lbs, with Azenis's. What tire you running? Is it street legal?

What year CRX? It seems like it will hit the suspension in the back if I get 13x9 with 5.5" backspacing on my '89, I was planning on 5".

Good point. I forgot to add that the wheel/tyre combo was 31lbs (got that down a few posts later after realising it was omitted).
Since there's some benefit from running lighter wheels/tyres... it therefore becomes "tech".

AutoX is just a catchall for any autocross events. SCCA technically calls it "Solo2". "solo1" is like time trials/hpde stuff...depending on the region.
And yeah, i'll be at the 10/10/04 AutoX. Come out, i give rides to pretty much anyone.

it's a 1990. But, all 1988-1991 CRXs with CRX knuckles have similar offsets. I haven't had any rub problems. the 5" would stick out 6mm more...but you'll get 6mm more of space between your suspension.

a nice offset/wheel clearance calculator

Azenis are a really heavy tyre for their size
I'm running 205/50-15 Victoracer V700s, they are 21lbs. The Falkens are 22-23lbs? and the Victoracers are one of the heavier R compounds.

and yes, victoracers are DOT legal... not recommended for street use though.
