Default 215 wide tire on Civic?

Just wondering if anyone is running a 215 tire on their Civic? I currently have 16" Slipstreams with 205/45's, but am thinking about Azenis in a 215/45. Just wondering if it will be too wide.....I'm dropped on H&R sport springs. Anybody with 17" wheels running a 215?

im running 215/45/16 azenis on my 16'mugen's on a 99ek. i rolled fenders and shaved the rear and currently have tein ss with the dampers at 16max(stock mounts). Well the car still rubs on hard cornering. My car has a 1 and a half finger gap on the front and 1 finger gap on the back. i can't lower it much more or else it'll RUB

Thanks for the reply. I only have about a 1 finger gap in the front currently, so I doubt a 215 would be a good idea for me. I just like the look of the wider tire, not to mention the extra contact patch.

215 will fit fine and should not rub at all. i've had some in the past witht the same drop and was ok.

interesting... i have no idea why i'm rubbing then. i was thinking of getting pillow mounts but does anyone know if that will help? sorry to jack your thread. I will host pictures up of my hatch so you can see but on hard cornering it rubs. even with a slightly shaved rear it rubs on rare occasions. anyone else have input on 215s?

215s are too wide IMO. 205s should be the widest you should go.
