Something suspension wise for the daily drivers to consider
After waiting for 3 months I finally picked up my coilovers today ( wow big friggen whoop right ) Since I was working with a normal budget I was in the relm of the supersteet Tiens since I'm driving the car everyday but wanted something different
Now for me the initial reason I even looked twice is there unique inverted strut design which will cut down on the unsrung weight. Then I noticed it comes OE equipped with eibach ERS springs 250f 150r ? which have always performed well for me. Then having solid upper mounts and just the fact that all of the other edelbrock suspension I've used in offroading has worked flawlessly.
Even though these seem to be built to the same standards and therefore "appear" to be as durrable they still seem lower in weight that the SS's
Finaly after getting prices on the I realized they were between the SS and Flex in cost and seemed to be overall of a higher quality
I'm going to mount them this weekend after making some other suspension changes but since I already know the ride quality is high having ridden in another car I'm going to wait until Willow (hopefully) to actually see how well they do on track
Now I know this does'nt give to much tech but I think it's may be quite an alternative for the price compared to other set ups ect and people should consider it.

I got them at dealer cost but price wise they should be right between the Tien SS and Flex
I may get slightly stiffer springs when the car is all done but until I have made the future chasis and tire upgrades I don't think I can accurately judge the car since the del sol seems to have alot of body movement
However the car is extremely light so the soft rates may seem a bit stiffer than on the 2300# car they were designed for.

I believe Edlebrock makes all the parts in house except the springs. I've used IAS shocks before on SUT and offroad applocations and they were extremely well done so I'm not worried they are adjustable and here is some more info from there site

hmmm are you talking extremly light like under 2000 lbs?

so around 2000lbs then?
thats impressive, for a del sol. did you take out any major structual things?
those look awsome ecxept for the rates. if they work for you then

Yeah apparently I can have them rebuilt for higher rates in the future so I assume that could be worked out.
However since finding out the car has neither front nor rear sways now and I'm spending a good deal of time reducing unsprung weight where would be legal should I go towards H1 I'm not sure the rates will be so much of a handicap as I might have thought. And since it's really kind of pointless IMO to be miserable daily for a couple of days a year I might enjoy it how it is anyway being able to drive the same setup every single day could prove beneficial on track
Having driven the Exige 111R I was simply blown away by how light the suspension feel was even though it has impressive cornering speeds so I'm kind of going along that route right now.

If you're looking for something similar to stock ride the rates aren't bad. Stock spring rates for my 00 si are 200/100 so those would be pretty good for me. I don't need anything stiffer for a daily driver. And thats around 2600 lb.
