Default Hmm how heavy are the stock buckets in a 4th gen?

In comparison to racing seats is there really a huge diff or not at all?

Just curious, because I can buy some better looking / lighter seats for a pretty good price.

Also while I'm at it, will hid's off a s2k work on my lude? My friend happens to own one and is selling his but I'm not exactly sure if I can even use them.

4th gen , 93, S if that helps at all, thanks guys

stock seats weigh ~50 lbs each. bucket seats are around 10-20 lbs. reclinable seats are anywhere from 20-50 too.

the S2k hid's will take some custom work, but it's been done before.

Stock 4th gen. seats aren't THAT much heavier than most normal race seats.

I wish this was a thread last week when I put my stock seats back in and got rid of my ghey Tenzo's.

I dont think they were 50lbs... more like ~30.

I wanna say that's about right, but I already sold my old seats too.

I know that the Tenzo's that I took out weighed much more than the stock seats.

whatever it is, they're not light.

i know 5th gen seats with the base are 40-50 lbs. or close.

whatever the case, reclining seats aren't gonna save you much weight, buckets will.
