5 hours drive thru snow and ice in the Cascades (AWD with 4 studs) rally style (but at 8/10th's) to attend my club meeting at the indoor kart track, arriving just in time to hop into a kart. I transfer to the A-main in my first heat (2nd fastest by 2/100th's) but draw a crappy kart and can't improve on 4th (still ahead of our mega National Champion who never really put it together tonite) but I start playing and spin and get a head-on and finish back a ways. A few of us have a final sore losers heat and I get a good kart and set fast time for the night for the club by 3/10th's (though I'm beaten on lap average by one of the guys (I blew one lap by 1.5 seconds). I was still off the fast worker guys time by 1.4 seconds. Me so happy. Me so tired.

Scott, for whom this is a pretty good day for December....but still not as good as ITR Expo '01.....
