What's the best high mileage oil?
What's the best high mileage oil? Thats NOT synthetic. Since i hear bad things about synthetic oil in higher mileage cars. My car is a 92 GS-R with 132,xxx miles on it. Here is what i already bought, but it has to be ok'd by honda-tech before i dump it in my car. Also i hope the S2K toyo roki is ok to put on my car. Thanx in advance.

i dont really like quaker state/penzoil bc of thier incident w/messing up on some batches of oil and ruining peoples engines....thats just me, i'm probably just paranoid!
i use valvoline maxlife and just put in a k&n filter. was using the fram x2 filter with no problems but decided to try the k&n since the price is the same. where did you get your toyo roki filter from and let me know if it works out good.
163k and still going strong.

i use mobil 1 synthetic, you had said that you didnt want synthetic though so if i wasnt using synthetic, i'd use valvoline....castrol is pretty good too...i liked kendall but they started takin it off my shelf for some reason!
i use castrol syntec full synthetic oil.. my friend told me that its thicker and lasts longer. he says i can go 5000 miles on it so i use that. plus its perfect for me cause i go up and down from the bay to la twice a month. im racking up about 125,000 and some change

My filter is an S2K filter, bought it from my local honda dealership. I wish it was a HAMP small filter but i don't want to spend that much on an oil change when really the S2K is identical to the large version HAMP filter. i could be wrong but i hope not.

I'm not going to go with synthetic before i rebuild my motor. Once i'm done building my motor i'm going synthetic but not now. PS thanks for reading the post and stickin up for a brother.

You know valvoline does make a synthetic oil made for engines with over 75K aka "Higher Mileage" I just started using it and it feels so much better than mobil 1 synthetic. My engine is at 140 K btw.
