my crx is making a knocking sound that is coming from the right hand side rear wheel, does anyone know what that might be??? HELP PLEASE

 

Does it get louder with speed?

 

no it just seems to do it when i slow down and am turning into a parking spot for example, i figured at first that it was just something rolling around in the trunk part but its not, it doesnt do it when i speed up though

 

CV joints going bad

 

yup sounds like cv joints

 

what are those and how much do they usually cost around? lol sorry i have to ask so i don't pretend to think i know what they are

But she said the sound is coming from the rear? Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

If the noise is coming from the back it definitely isn't your cv joint(s). This might sound stupid but check your lug nuts. When I worked on my suspension I cranked my lugs back down but I didn't have a torque wrench. Like a week ½ later I started hearing this knocking type noise, but it was rattling my car slightly. Only seemed to happen when I slowed down or went into turns. I checked everything until my friend noticed that my posi wheel was missing 2 lug nuts..........yes 2. Twas very sad. But that was my problem. Hope that's the prob, b/c it's a cheap fix
