Default Just got my Omni's

Well i have finally received my Omni coilovers today, and was very excited to put them on, but when checking the package i noticed it said 92-95 EG/DC on the box, but i ordered 99-00 SI. Although the invoice does say civic EK, i'm weary on trying to install possibly wrong makes. But would the 92-5 Coilovers clearly be different in some way, visible by sight, or only clearly wrong when your'e installing them?

The rear suspension gives away the difference of 5th and 6th gen, doesn't it?

Just check it.

I would call too, but 92-00 Civic struts/springs are interchangeable. The only difference is the width in lower control arms. I can't remember which is thinner, I think 96-00 is thinner, not sure. But it's no problem.

you he was pretty stupid asking someone like you who obviously doesn't know anyways... Or maybe you were stupid for posting....

but ya like someone else said the only difference is the rear LCA, I believe that the EG/DC LCA's are thinner than the EK. But that may be the other way around. anyways If they are spaced for the thinner LCA you won't be able to use them. If it is spaced for the thicker and you have the thinner than you can just use some washers to take up the excess. But If you check and the LCA shock mount point lines up good with your rear LCA's than don't worry about it...

P.S. what spring rates did you get?

I wouldn't do that, it may actuall weaken the part and that is not something that you want braking.
edit: well I just nooticed you said bushing. there is a small metal sleeve inside the bushing that you would have to grind? still probly not the best idea

I do agree with the others that you should have gotten the right setup, but some people don't like to wait especially if they have already been waiting. a couple of washers is really no big deal.
