hey there. my 2nd gen prelude with a dual carb es1 motor and a manual a1c5 trans needs a new engine. The problem is I want to put a larger motor in (the same motor will do in a pinch if im left without options) and there is a vast number of motors about for this model and im not sure which ones will line up with my trans. I want to keep the trans as im not very good with parting with my money. Did i mention money is an issue?
Any way does anyone know of a site which will tell me which motors will line up with which trans or can some knowledgable person on this site let me know themselves?

 

Oh yeah. And I get my buzz from taking slow cars and making them as fast as I can within my budget

 

been reading just about every forum on the net and it seems there is one later engine that will bolt on to my trans but the bastidges didnt say which one

Anyone got any ideas?

did you ever find what engine fits to the tranny in the 2nd gen prelude?? i just picked one up and am looking at possible engine swaps, keeping the same trans would be deadly!
