where do i look to find out what engine i have 89 civic DX HB?

where do i look to find out what engine i have 89 civic DX HB?

i dont know where to look on my car to find out what kind of enging i have.
me and my friend looked all over and still nothing.

On the front of the block, the engine code is stamped into it. Just to the right of where the tranny case meets the engine block, right beside the heat shielding on the exhaust manifold. Should be a flat block about 2 iches tall and 3 inches long. But the dx had the d15b2 sohc 16 valve non-vtec motor.

You have a d15b2. Look on the front of the block near the tranny. Chances are it was covered in oil.
