fuel pump problem
A few days ago my car died in my driveway. I knew it was the fuel pump(Walbro gss317) when i couldn't hear the pump turn on when the key is turned just before ignition. So I replaced the fuel pump and it was fine for a week. Just within this week, the car died again. This time it was on the road. I had it towed to my favorite shop. After taking it to the shop, I learned that the plastic mesh filter screen attached to the fuel pump was coming apart. Parts of the filter were being sucked into the pump and seizing it. I now have the stock filter screen on and that shouldn't come apart. I can't believe it was something that petty to screw up my ride.
