took my car in for a pretest this morning, everything went fine besides my check engine light doesn't come on at all (when you insert the key all the lighs on dash board should come on and then go off, the CEL doesn't light up)

2 things on my mind

1. OBD II workaround - i did that 2 years ago, but i took the switch off and hook the wire back on last week

2. i did a blue dash conversion, and ever since that, my shift indicator never light back on, the rest are fine

question: what's the easiest and quickest way to check whether it's the bulb, wire or ecu?

my smog is due by next week
