Default brake troubles

i have a '04 rsx w/ approx. 7k miles and for the past couple weeks there has been a grinding feel in the pedal as well as a audible noise. theres no squeel, just a grind when coming to a stop. there is still a good 60% left on the pads, anybody have a clue as to what the hell is going on?? thanks guys.

maybe some dirt got stuck between the pad and the rotor or maybe a small rock. Just some ideas. To find out take off the brake pads and check them. Remember it may be the inner pad that is causing the problems.

Same thing happened to me. I made a post on here about it maybe some people remember it. Mine started with about 12k on it. Its kind of a rumble noise with vibration in the pedal once you come near to a stop. Does it do it all the time? Mine was off and on. People were saying it might be warped rotors or something. It has since stopped though, havnt heard or felt it in months. So my guess would be like what they said, maybe somethin just got up in there.

I have had my car for like 3 years and 24 k on it. I haven't had a single problem the brakes were working great. but I do know that if you don't break in the pads when they are new correctly you can glaze the pads meaning that there will be no grip on the pads. best thing is to take you brakes out and clean them with brake cleaner.

There is a recall on this. Just go to your dealer and tell them whats going on. Guaranteed they'll fix it.
