Default oil pan gasket

what gasket should i get and does anyone know if i need to torque then down? thanks

stock honda gasket w/ honda bond and there is a specifc pattern to bolt them down......30 ft/lbs total

dude if you torque them to 30 lbs they'll break off! 8 lbs. is the torque spec for the oil pan bolts.

If I remember correctly its 9ft/lbs or 12 Nm. 30ft/lb will break the studs right off.

I say go in a circle.......... I did with no problems.

it is 9 ft pounds.

thanks guys..is there also a sequence to do them?
Don't have manual w/ me but IIRC start from middle and alternate across
the pan.
Example: 1.3.5.7.9->
<-8.6.4.2

Oops your right.........just rebuilt the engine a couple of weeks ago and I still got a bunch of numbers floating in my head........it is 8 ft/lbs

do not torque the bolts to 30 lbs, the gasket and the bolts will be ruined if you torque them, just tighten the bolts with a drive wrench until there snug and the gasket is secured firmly, cross pattern is the way..........
