I just bought a mugen style plastic front lip today and I was trying to figure out how to put it on. Anyone know how? I wasnt doing it by myself and the lip doesnt even look like it fits perfect. Anyone?
the lip doesn't come with clips or anything?
well mine didn't, so what i did was custom install it. let me know if you want to know the ghetto way.

i just ordered a type r lip for my eg. I wanna hear some of the ways to put one on also. From what ive heard you get a couple of self tapping screws and some 3m double sided tape. You screw the screws in where the lip tucks around the bumper close to the wheels and use the tape for the rest. Also heard to set it out in the sun for a couple of hours to to soften it up [if its abs plastic and not cf] or use a hair dryer/heat gun.
2 sharpy screws in the middle and 2 bolts w/ nuts on the sides will hold. paint them whatever color to match the lip for stealthy look. you'll need some drilling to do. it's ghetto...but hey!

Errrrr... fit it in first, then drill the holes.... screw them in and then for the rest use some double sided tape... should hold.
the best way to do it i have found through exp. is to remove the bumper before fitting , when the bumper is on the car it may not fit right , but when off the car you can minipulate he shape a little to get a better fit , then put pieces of quack tape on the inside (rolled) to hold it in place while you fit it , after you think that it is fit correctly use a rivit gun for the sides , and self tapping scews to the middle , (preferrably somthing with as flat as a head as you can find , put 1 screw in each corner in the front and it will look a lot cleaner than putting a bunch of screws all over the thing ....
i did this with my carbon lip on my 95 eg and it looks soo smooth !!!!!
parts cost
15$ for rivet gun at home depot or lowes .20 for self tapping screws ,
1/2 hour of your time .......... having a clean looking front end (priceless)
GOOD LUCK !

Okay well I put it on the ghetto fab way... haha I put a good 3 holes on the right side bumper because I messed up. Cant really see the ghettoness unless you look pretty close. And the lip kit didnt come with nuts, only screws and I screwed only 4 when it came with 6. Seems good though, pretty sturdy when driving.... havent fell off "yet".
Thx for the help guys
