Where can I get a NEW tps sensor for my GSR motor?
Anyone know where i can get a NEW tps sensor for my GSR motor without buying the whole new TB from acura? Please let me know.. My motor is surging and not holding an idle and im pretty sure its the tps.
This happend before and I changed the TPS and adjusted it and it seem this one went bad as well.. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

check your temperature idle control sensor....</TD></TR></TABLE>
Which one is that exactly? and where is it located?
Is that the one behind the manifold that has the coolant lines going in and out of it? The one that controls the cold start idle? If that is this is what happens when i unplug it.. The engine idles veryyy low and when i try to rev the motor it bogs at around 1500 and surges if i hold it there.. If I give it a bit more gas it will rev fine..
Any ideas?

It is on the back of your Intake manifold there are two 12mm bolts to remove and has two hoses on the bottom. I would try removing it and cleaning it with brake cleaner.
BTW, if you can't find a TPS sensor for your GSR motor, I have one complete Throttle Body off my 96 GSR in perfect working order with all sensors, I replaced it with a Type R one when I did my skunk2 install.
So let me know.
Thx.

well, the problem is, the TPS sensor is not sold separately. They are only sold with the Throttle body, so it might be difficult to find just a TPS sensor. (I checked with Honda Dealer and this is a fact)
unless someone had a broken Throttle body w/ a good TPS sensor, you might have a hard time finding one.
Good luck with your find though.

A while back i heard you can buy the TPS sensor gasket of a CBR and use it on your motor.. Im wondering if you can also buy the sensor (if its the same) and be able to use it.. anyone know anything about this??
