Default d15bvtec props

i have an 89 crx with the d15bvtec engine, all wired to obd1 and this thing is deffenately underrated. my car ran a 14.8 @95mph with i/h/e and some light wheels off an isuzu i-mark RS. i have plans for boosting this engine and im working on it right now since i have no licence. i have smoked most of the b16s around here already and i want to go all out on it now. post your track times....

How the heck did they let you run it on the track without a DL check?

60 foots are 2.1 or 2.2 and the best 1/8 mile i had was 9.4. i bet if i had a manual ecu instead of an auto it might run better. i ran my best on some bald tires, the wheels i have now are some 13" off of a 1g crx with some sumitomo 205 60s the wheels are really heavy and it kills my acceleration. i am looking for a set of hx or vx wheels, maybe that will help.

its a crx. you dont even need vtec for a 14.8. i'd rather have the engine in an ed3.

im confused, u said this first

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ihateslowhondas &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i have an 89 crx with the d15bvtec engine, all wired to obd1 and this thing is deffenately underrated. my car ran a 14.8 @95mph with i/h/e and some light wheels off an isuzu i-mark RS. i have plans for boosting this engine and im working on it right now since i have no licence. i have smoked most of the b16s around here already and i want to go all out on it now. post your track times.... </TD></TR></TABLE>

then this

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ihateslowhondas &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">60 foots are 2.1 or 2.2 and the best 1/8 mile i had was 9.4. i bet if i had a manual ecu instead of an auto it might run better. i ran my best on some bald tires, the wheels i have now are some 13" off of a 1g crx with some sumitomo 205 60s the wheels are really heavy and it kills my acceleration. i am looking for a set of hx or vx wheels, maybe that will help.</TD></TR></TABLE>

now, if you were running a obd1 auto ecu, theres no way the car would have even ran strong enough to run a 14 sec pass , let alone ever run the car correctly. correct me if im worng, the car wouldnt even run right, it would be in limp mode...

ok the auto ecu only throws a code for the lock up control soleniod . doesnt make it go into limp in mode its is a code for the tranny. and its a p08 ecu he is using. the car ran i 14.8 i have the time slips ill scan them tonite and post them . it would also be alittle more believable if he told you that the rear bumper and support was removed to hit 14.8 2 times in a row. but it would only hit 15.0 with the bumper on. but it still ran a 14.8 not to hard to believe since the d15bvtec make more power than a z6 or y8 . its all about the driver to . levi ill see if i can get the video from david of you running 14.8 and ill post that up to .
