Beginner need help on simple upgrades!!!
Hi yall...
I am just getting into doing upgrades and mods on cars. I just bought an all stock 92 integra and wonder what are some simple, beginner type mods I can do to it. Any suggestion would be helpful.
Thanks

Intake sounds like a good place to start. I've seen prices from $30 ~ $200 for intake systems. As I said, I'm a beginner, so I don't know much. how do I pick which one to buy? Is the more expensive name brand always better than the cheap ones? Any suggestion of where to look for good deal?
thanks
thanks

one thing that you can do that is a free mod, is advance your ignition timing to get a few more horsies outof your car. Just remember to alaways use 91 or 93 octane gas if you do that....To find out how to do it, do a search on "timing advance"
For the AEM cold air intake, there are two models for 90-93 integra, 21-402 and 22-402. 21-402 is almost double the price of 22-402. But from the description, I can't tell the difference between them. Does anyone know any about it?
thanks

Only if you put them on at an angle, or if you stretch the "Powered by Acura" decal over the hood onto the fender.
Seriously, do a search on the DC header. I've read good and bad. good for the price, but bad on durability. personally, depending on what you want to do, suspension isn't a bad route. eibach sways, neuspeed upper strut bars (helped a TON on my 99 ls) and possibly a racier suspension with eibach springs, possibly H&R or something along those lines, and an awsome set of shocks, like Koni yellows or tokico illuminas (not blues). Start with stuff like that, and you're on the way to an awsome car.
Ps, Don't forget the "powered by Acura" sticker.
