Default Vtec problems again:(

I just got a jdm d15b swapped into my 96 civic....Well at first the shop didnt connect the plugs that go from the vtec syleniod(SP) and i took it back cuz i had a leak and i mentioned it well they fixed it and got it pluged up and all...but now when the car enters vtec range it like bogs down kinda instead of givin that lil extra boost of power it takes the power away and kinda slows down....Anyone know what the problem may be....oil is there, plugs should be right.

What ECU are you running, are there still plugs in the engine bay not connected and did the shop tell you that they had to ground any ECU wires?
