All-motor setup Toda, etc....
I'm going to rebuild my engine with Toda internals and am wondering if this would be a good setup:
Headwork done by Portflow
TODA spec B cams
TODA cam gears
TODA valve springs
TODA timing belt
Would anyone recommend using these items in conjuction with the above:
Ferrea valves
Portflow titanium retainers
Bronze valve guides
Mugen head gasket
any suggestions as to what other valves, retainers, etc I should use?
THnks

u can use ctr outers and portflow inner valvesprings and retainers..with the toda b's..saves you money...talk to portflow about it...tom is a very very smart guy when it comes to head talk...haha
bronze valve guides have tighter clearances i believe but arent worth it on a daily driver..i guess yougotta replace them alot more often than stock valve guides

I had about the same head setup you did on my GSR and if i could go back and do it again...and i was going to use a comparable aggressive cam...i would have gone with the Skunk stage 2's... what is your bottom end going to be like? If its stock I would stay away from the B's.

They don't REQUIRE toda springs, i used portflow inners, itr outers and crower retainers on my b16 and on the new owners itr motor for over 25k and no problems whatsoever.
I'd do spec b's, toda gears and timing belt, mugen headgasket, portflow inners, itr outers, crower retainers ... maybe even itr valves ( stock 3 angle).
Honda valves are the best on anything but all out race motor, also the same for valve guides.
The timing belt is a must and make sure to tension it good.
Good luck

Ditto-Toda 'C's here.
Toda valve springs are very good, but they are not the only ones that work.
