Default DISAPPONTED with 1/4 TIMES!!!

hey whats up guys I took my car to the track the for the 1st time on 9/25 at Maple Grove Race way for the IDRC event going on. I thought the event really sucked but it was a good opportunity to run my car for the first time and get some experience at the track. I ran a best of 15.5 with a 2.5 60 ft and 92 mph speed. My setup is as follows, 92 GSR with full weight, 2700lbs with me in it. I have a JDM integra type R head complete with cams, ITR intake manifold, CTR bored throttle body. .25 OS CTR pistons in B17a. CTR intake cam, CTR crank pulley. an ECU that is supposed to be JUN spec that I got off Ebay. a ACT clutch with 4 puck, DC headers, AEM CAI. S1 tranny. Some garbage street tires that were at 32 psi. I didnt even know that I would be able to race. I just went to watch and I was told I didnt need a helmet but I would have to pass a tech inspection. I passed and decided to race. I thought I would do alot better but left very disappointed. Car has also never been tuned. Is it me or does this suck?? in everyones opinion, what times you think I should be doing ? any help, criticism and tips are always appreciated. Thanks guys

Down where I live that is pretty normal. BUt were at 3500ft above sealevel. Im sure with some better practice and 60fts you can get a good 15.2 out of it and a good 14.5 with just some bfg drag radials.

With your mods you should be going faster than 92 mph. My car ran 14.9 @92mph with 142 whp. Get your car dyno tuned.

Im sure your car isnt as heavy as mine is though. Im sure Id be running way better times in a CRX. Plus I dont have good tires and they were at like 32psi. I didnt try anything like lowering pressure, I didnt know I could even race and when I was approved by the tech I went straight to line up! This was my first time so I was kind of excited. Plus I drove 4 hrs to get there from CT and really didnt wanna do anything drastic to the car as this was my only way of getting home! What are some good street tires by the way?

My car weighs 2400 lbs w/driver

This is a very sweet setup, I would think with tuning 180 whp. Unless you shift ultra slow your mph should be a lot higher like 95-100mph even with the extra weight.

I have seen Integra gsr's run 14.9 with I/E/H I don't know what an integra weighs but it should be about what you do and you should have more power.

Like I said you should get that thing tuned.

your main problem lies on your 60" practice and practice launching, get some really good tires. also def dyno tune that ****,should make a huge difference, and 2700lbs with you in the car is not that bad, i ran a 14.8@94mph on my old gsr full weight with me 2600lbs with just i/h/e and with falken azenis tires.

I would suggest to get your car tuned that will be the best thing you can do. That "JUN" chip you bought of ebay probably isnt a very good map at all.

1st time i went to the track i ran prettu shitty. my first run i ran a 16.3. this was in a 97 LS with a only I/E. the fastest run of the day for me was a 15.91 with a 60' time of 2.3 sec's. u get better with each run.

im go n to the track this weekend: I'll have AEM cai, 4-1 header, full catback, new NGK plug/wires, no PS or AC, timing advanced, CROWER 62403 cams, slightly tuned skunk2 cam gears and slightly tuned safc. all this will be run n on a set of rota slipstreams and brand spank n new Dunlop sport tires. hopefull i'll get the car in the mid 15's to low 15's with this setup.
u need to practice on ur launch. i practiced this whole weekend launch n my car. i got it down packed. hopefully i'll pull out a 60' time around 2.1 sec's

Try the BFG Drag radials (205/50R15). The NT 555R aren't that good. With your 60 ft your 1/4 mile time is about right. Get your 60ft down to a 2.2 or 2.1 and you'll easily be in the 14s.

2.5 60 if its your first time its all good keep practicing and cut a 2.2 you probably can do this without the bfg depending on wut tires u got. with my s0-3's 195 tires i cut a 2.2 stock weight integra. wut psi did you have in the tires it all honestly all it is is practicing ur lanch and ull drove ur quater mile time. with a 2.3 60 foot i think ull be around 15.0-15.1

Your 60' time is horrible, you need to work on that. That will gain you a few tenths.. BUT, your trap speed also seems low for that setup. I say, get your car tuned.
