Turbo or Supercharger?? Need help
OK, I have seen lots of cars with both turbos and superchargers. Sometime within the next year, I am going to puchase one of these kits. Now I have been told superchargers are better because power is constent throughout the rpm range. But, I have heard they are harder on your tranny. So my question is, which do youy all perfer and why?? I am leaning toward the supercharger because of constant power, but again i don't know **** about this stuff, so please help.
(BTW, going to put it on a 00 Si)

Thanks, great info. I went to another forum (ClubSi) and all I got was a bucnh or jerks telling me to do a search. Thanks again.
ya everyones gonna tell u to search. theres a sticky at the top of this thread for sc vs. turbo. but none the less what your saying sounds nice on paper but the fact is turbo is going to leave you with alot more potential than sc. especially on four cylinders.
it depends on your goals are on your car. Some people like turbo, some people like SC, some people like allmotor. Whatever floats your boat.
It seems like its really popular to hate on the JRSC here.
With that said, you have to remember with the current superchargers that are out for Honda's you are going to always be limited to how much boost before you create too much heat.
With turbo the sky is the limit, they both have advantages and disadvantages you can easily find if you search. Also you have to ask yourself what you want out of the car.
I also say never let cost be the determining factor because speed ALWAYS costs a lot of money to do the right way....I dont care what anyone says.
