Default A question for you guys. (cam gear related ?)

hi guys.... new here, purchased 2000 DC2R a year ago.
anyway, got a questions for you guys,

i did my service the other day, and i also changed my stock cam gears to the toda. (also had my timing belt changed to toda)
well, now i got my car back, the car dont feel the same, it revs very slow ( like a civic), takes forever to get to vtec it feels like i lose most of my bottom end powerband.
also, on the top end i can now rev to 9k rpm (normally it cuts out at 8400). ok, i called the workshop and asked if they have changed the timing on the cam gears, they said no....
So isit my timing had changed or is it just the timing belt wearing in ?

thanks for reading this guys !! and the help !!

sounds like your timing is very off. I would not keep driving it like it is.

could be they tighten the belt too much, could be the timing is off, could be that they switched your cams or motor

id pull the valve cover off and make sure the cam gears didnt actully move a few degrees since they might not have been tightened completly from toda. and while the cover is off zero out the motor by lineing up all the timing marks(crank pully and both cam gears) to make sure they dont have it off a tooth or two...........or three.

cam gear notches should be at 9, 12, and 3 o'clock when the motor is at TDC, and the dist. rotor button is facing the #1 cylinder.
