DRAG Turbo Impressions
DRAG is going to be releasing a liquid cooled twin turbo set up for the NSX in Jan/Feb of next year. It will give an extra 100 hp to the flywheel and 80 hp to the wheels at a mere 3-5psi of boost (good for daily driving).
The kit will cost from $8000 to $9000 (most likely).
What are your guys' thoughts on the kit? I'd like to get your impressions.
Thanks!

If I were to pay almost 10k for a turbo setup... id be damn sure to be pushing alot more than 3-5psi.... That doesnt sound right for a twin turbo setup.. too low?
Deciding and getting are two different things. It`s not very cheap or easy.
Is Basch in SoCal or Arizona (just wondering)?

..has a shop here in Escondido, and his original shop in Pheonix. Personally, if I were to go F/I on an NSX, I would opt for the Basch kit, having read through the beta testing, Basch's own admitions to problems with the kit, dyno results, 1 year warranty, free install, and CARB certification it appears to me that this kit is well thought out, and well implemented.
Also, I think that the CARB certification will go forward, not only b/c of the commitment already made by Basch in developing and testing the kit, but all b/c of the customers that Basch caters to, and the degree of service that he has offered to his customers in the past.

well, as I know, Comptech SC is avaliable for a long time, it run 6 or 9 psi for the SC, and it gives 100 hps +, I wouldn't wanna go for the twin-turbo for only 100 hps.. I will still go for the SC, but, yes, the SC is 10K...
and no, I don't own a NSX..

and no, I don't own a NSX..
there is a guy here in austin TX with a silver NSX w/ the comtech body kit, bult motor, and custom turbo kit. he puts down over 640 whp - and thats with aftermarket N/A cams and no cam gears.
stupid ***...becuz of the high compression rate you cant boost that high...and NSX is already fast...with the turbo kit....you would probably run the mid 12s.....thts pretty damn fast.....wish i had one....then i would get one....DRAG turbo kits are bomb too....wont **** up the engine.....reliable.....plus you could always do more to the turbo.....but you will have to modify the internals.....valvs....pistons....buillshit like that ....otherwise dont think its just an expensive, shitty turbo kit youre buying.
- What turbos will the kit use?
- what is the max hp the kit can produce at full boost?
- where do the turbos go?
- where does the radiator for the IC go?
