Seems like a nice place to store/work on/prep your race car and kill time at the arcade.

Poor choice of an arcade game if you're actually going to have one in your garage...
Otherwise, looks exactly like what I'd want but would never be able to afford when I get a house

Looks like a nice setup, although I question the choice in lifts. I think I'd have to go with a 2-post, so that the wheels can actually come off the car when it's in the air.

cmon now. this guy owns a porsche. you actually think he works on it? He posted it on another forum and I questioned his choice of lifts. He said he's only going to use it to fit another car in. I didn't understand the entire point of the garage at that point and decided not to even ask. I didn't get it.

Looks to me like a garage that is not really going to see much work, more like a toy box. With that plastic sectional flooring, do you see a loaded engine hoist with oil or coolant dripping out while being pulled from a car? How does one put a car on jack stands without damaging the tiles? Even though there is a nice lift there, I'll bet it sees very little productive work. We have a four poster lift at work and it has a roller lifts in the middle of it to pick the car up. It does help if you want to put a car or otehr stuff below it.
I'd like to have the budget for the tool cabinets alone.

MMMMM......very nice......my question would be eat on the kitchen table with the wife or eat of the clean floor in the garage...I'd take that garage if someone was giving it away.
that's sickening... useless lift too unless it can be configured/changed.
to those who have more money then me and don't spend it how *I* see fit. lol

Yeah.. the only thing he probaly does with the lift is put the car up in the air so his detailer can clean the undercarriage.
Whats with all the TV's too?
and the slot machine?
I wonder if those craftsman chests have any tools in them

Dammit, leave it up to you guys to ruin all the fun in ogling a cool garage.
I'm surprised none of you asked if he performed a cost-benefit analysis on having Cruisin' USA in there as well.

He was just trying to copy the Audi SVWC GT team pits. Watching them play Cruising USA at Lime Rock =
And those pieces are perfect for flooring. Fluid resistant... and they can take a beating (not like the latch together ones you see track side).
The least he could have done was used some real garage door openers and took some more pictures of the lady.

I think the point about the tiles was that if anything spills on them, you have to pull the tiles up to clean underneathe them. Seems like a pain. Why not just pain the cement and forego the tiles?
In all fairness, I looked up the prices on all that Craftsman bling cabnetry and it's really not *that* expensive. We're not talking Snap-On here. $300 for a bench or chest isn't bad... he spent maybe $3,000 on the benches, chests and cabinets. Add $500-750 for floor tiles, $500 for air and power cords here and there... that isn't bad at all. The most expensive part is the lift, and even those aren't totally unreasonable these days.

[edit]
cars like that don't spill. and those units look different than the ones I see at the track that quickly let fluids thru.
and they are about $4 each..
$4500/$5000 in flooring (for a 60'x20').

Call me crazy but I don't really like it.
Certain aspects of it kick *** (like the cabinets) but to me that is a lounge with a car parked in it.

Good point. It really does need a bar, too.

I looks like there was a fridge, but the contents were not photographed.
Things I would like in my garage.
1.) High Ceilings
2.) 2 post lift with ultra low arms (for my 4" off the ground car that I hope to have
3.) exhaust tubes so I dont' have to have to garage doors opened (in case I have to be up in the wee hours of the night/morning working on my car
4.) Snap-On or Cornwell Tool chests (i actually prefer the handles and locking mecahnism on the cornwell
5.) epoxy floors
6.) Loud telephone
7.) HVAC
8.) Stereo
9.) Butt load of lights
10.) Alignment Rack
11.) Tire mounting machine
12.) Quiet air compressor (maybe even housed in a little shed or room outside
and air everywhere
This is definelty not a complete list, but some of the most important
