3 days later, the entire tread just ripped out of the wheel.

first i was driving at about 60 miles per hour.

then my car was shaking real bad, so i slowed down to pull over.

and all of a sudden. i herd an explosion, and was like> WTF.....

looked at my rear view mirror and saw some black thing just flying across my car.

i was going to pull over, but i said fuc.k it. so i kept driving slowly and exited the freeway.

pull over to the nearest parking lot and i saw that my threads were ripped the fu.ked out and was wrapped out my axle.

my entire splash guard ripped out and my CV boot also ripped and there was grease everywhere.

i checked my tire and i was riding on no THREADS. all i saw was some metal wires all around the tire.

so i said, f this. and just drove home slowly and took out the wheel.

unwrapped my thread that was choking my axle.

i also saw that my metal bar the one that was connected to the fender to the frame was also ripped out. and it needs to be welded cauze there is no way i can screw that shlt back on to the frame.

damn. nothing but bad luck this month.

need a new cv boot maybe new axle, and need to buy that $80 splash guard.

luckily my rims were being powerdercoated and i was currently riding on steelies.

 

That sucksballs i dented 2 of my C5`s on a pothole, i was raging but that was cosmetic, did you drive it on just the rim?

 

yeah, pothole sucks. that why 4 of my rims are being repaired. they were white, but now gunmetal.

should of went bronze, but they already finished two of my rims in gunmetal. ...

no, the tire didnt pop. the threads just ripped out and i drove on what looks like steel wires.

i'll post a pic of it later.

bro you need to hit the city up on that ****, they have to pay for all the repairs because of the pot hole. go back and take some pictures of the incident, and some pics of the tire and all the damage they did, they'll buy you a new tire and might fix the other damages as well..

i find that making a claim against the city is pointless.

that last time i did, all they told me was I should of been more aware.

definitly try and make a claim against the city for that ****, but first you might want to check into filing a police report. a friend of mine was driving on a back road out here in hickville usa. the road was just oil and chipped a week prior and no signs were posted along the road. anyhow, there must have been an average of 1/4 to 1/2 an inch of this loose fine gravel all over the road. her *** end kicked out while she was going around a light curve at 30 mph. she found out that it was a state road and since she didn't file a police report about the accient there was nothing that they could do about fixing her vehicle. of coure we are talking about pennsylvania now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just replaced my rims with some steelies so that my rims could be powerdcoated.

the tire that had its treads ripped out and wrapped around my axle, then popped my CV boot are called "winner" tires.

something like that.

I think the pot hole did this. Not sure, though. But the treads managed to tear out of the wheel.

when i had my 96 ls, i hit a pot hole and destroyed my driver side front suspension, i made a huge deal about it to the city, they ended up paying for parts and labor, went down to city hall each day until the matter was resolved
