sure, mainly depends on compression though
as long as it is tuned to pass smog, it will pass smog

the only way to pass this test is to move lets say to tn? we dont have visual inspections.....most counties dont even do emmisions.....i say move somewhere with none of that stuff
I had a b16a and ctr both never passed.
I tried everything. I spent around 1000 maybe more in trying to fix it never passed. NOX and HC were killing me at 15mph other then that everything else was fine close to pass but no close enough. Go get a pretest say that you don't want it to go DMV they should know what u talking about.

ok it is not passing i failed.. co is high at 15mph and 25, the guy was koo he let me do alot of playing with the car timing hoses, etc.. nothing worked.. i'mma try a new o2 sensor,
Fact: a b20 series motor will not pass because it is a small truck motor...State referee rules are must go with year and newer with the same classifaction of car.
don't try becasuse they will give you a DMV notice that says some sh*t like:
ADVISED 27002 this vehicle is to remain of roads until fixed and all the cops have to do is scan it and tow your car..sucks

Alot also depends on your car and where you take it to smog. If your car is equipped with a VTEC motor from the factory (ie GSR or 1999-2000 SI), you will probably pass visual. Chances are, the tech is not going to look at the block code to see what you have. All they will see is that your emissions setup is correct. If the car has a ref sticker for another VTEC motor, there is also a good chance it will pass visual. Although some shops check block codes, not all do. And if they don't, they will just test it as the VTEC motor that the ref sticker says you have.

How'd you do this? My smog check is due next month and need a solution fast. I got a B20vtec, 11:1cr, 290cc injectors, fuel rail, FPR, etc...
Is there a solution or will I have to drop back the D16? What's pre-test btw? Mine is Test Only btw.
