Default Buying Used ****

Is it cool to buy a lot of the **** i need used?

I plan on turbo'ing my b18b integra... but I work at a sub shoppe.

The only things I am thinking of getting new is the turbo, injectors, and wastegate.

Anyone see a problem with getting all of the other things used?
Such as: exhaust piping, muffler, cat, fmic, bov. All of the other stuff I am gonna get fab'd.

So... people with experience more than me... do yall see a problem?

Will the exhaust sound like *** if I get a used muffler? Im kinda thinking I should get a new one.

you can buy anything new, but..you get what u pay for. i bought some turbo stuff used (bov, piping, fmic, fmu) i ended up selling the fmic, fmu and getting RC550's and uberdata. and a precision front mount. i am in the middle of my second setup. and i am buying everything brand new.

It's obvious you would be better off w/ brand new stuff, but in my opinion used things such as piping might be to your benefit if it is already fitted to the car. It just depends on how well you trust someone else's work, especially if it's a custom kit.

yeah new would be better, but do a lot of these things wear out or anything? I can probably get a lot of it new like bov, but I dont really see how a lot of these things would wear out.

thanks for help

if your going to buy anything used, i would say either look at it in person or have a multitude of pics to show the condition its in before you buy it.

Actually the spring mechanism can become weak after extended use on a BOV.
I am not sure about wastegates...
