b series basics $
ok i am now wanting to upgrade to a b series from my d. i need to know the best combination of motor and tranny. and how much to pay?
i plan to go b16 for now just to get a vtec head for a b18 or 20 bottom end later
i would also like to know wich tranny to go with and what they are worth. i found a b16 tranny with lsd for 350 but it needs new gears and syncs. is that good or bad?
any general pricing help would be great thanks andy

First of you are prolly going to get told to search there are many posts about this topic.
1) B18 non vtec will be cheaper than a Vtec motor in most cases, I picked one up for $400 motor and tranny
2) Syncro and gear sets are very expensive I'd prolly take the motor and trade the tranny off and get another one, I think gear set are apprx $250 each
3) you can prolly pick up a Vtec head later and put it on a non vtec block
In the end it is all you choice just do what you want
