So yea...Tried Tig welding tonite for the first time (need input suggestions, etc)

Well got to try some Tig tonite...(Only thing ive touched before was Gas Torch)...Did better than i thought i would...these are some butt welds/ beads. Give me some pointers

I believe it was a thremal arc 175 tig/stick welder....Im new to this **** lol

looks good for your first time.but from the angle that i see, your welds look alittle convex (dome shaped). you need to slow down a bit and feed a little less filler rod.get some pics of the bottom side so we can see what kind of fusion and penatration you are getting.but overall i say that is damn good for your first time.keep it up!

this aft I got to do a little bit of TIG too! pretty sweet!
Ive only used mig once aswell(for a short time) so Ive got more experience with TIG then mig .

looks good for your first time. try using less rod and less heat at the end of your weld and ease off the pedal. but overall nice job for your first time. keep it up. tig requires practice and time.
hey that looks good...how do you arc weld anyways? im going to try that in school tomorrow...i always gas welded and was wondering how you arc weld
