Default LS head on Gsr block?

My buddy wrecked his 97 ls teg, im buyin his whole swap, but his block is shot, but everything else is there and good with low miles, i was wondering if i could put the ls head on the gsr block? i know a gsr pisotn and ls head make good compression..

LS Head + Gsr Block = 9.4:1 compression

GSR Head + LS Block = 10.6:1 compression

Basically, you've got your figures *** backwards.

thats would be a waste of time if your not running boost or something but even then i wouldnt bother with it
