how many track cars have headwork/internals??
well my built motor blew up in april, and finally im getting off my lazy butt and im going to hopefully just get a JDM type ARRGH motor in it and hopefully get to honda-challenge.
i still have the head off the motor that blew, and luckly all i need to do is replace the valves. i was (master)debating whether or not i should put all the internals from the head, or the head itself on the JDM motor.
the head is a '00 type ARRGH port and polish job. with JUN[K]3 cams and JUN[K] retainers/springs/gears.
would it be "worth it". i could sell the head and get a good lump of money. along with selling the extra JDM tranny(36C) i have and invest it in the car, or just for myself (hookers or something similar).
i will most likely keep the motor stock in the car. and just focus on driving better rather than being faster. but i wanna know if it will be beneficial at all? i wanna be lazy and just keep the stock motor and not work on cars
so did it make sense?

If you are even considerng racing in a sanctioning race, you should get a rule book before you touch anthing in the engine. In road racing, internals are usually required to be basically stock for most classes. There are some exceptions. So research before you do anything. It sounds like you need to just keep the stock engine in and get some seat time first though at track events.
If he's got Honda Challenge around he can jump into H1 assuming the internals and miscellaneous other parts are all g3nu1ne Honda y0!. I'm totally in the dark on what's allowed as far as cylinder heads in H1.
last time i read the rules was last year or so. i need to refresh myself, but i beleive head internals can be messed with (im not sure to what degree) but as far as the bottom end goes, it needs to be stock honda parts.
i know the new rules are out. i glanced over them couple weeks ago

You can do pretty much whatever you want to a H1 head.
c) “Above” the engine block, cylinder head preparation and porting is free. Valve size and material must
conform to original specification for that particular head. Valve preparation (angle, cut, etc) is free. Springs,
locks ,retainers, and shims are free.
d) Camshaft(s) are free and adjustable cam gears may be used.
